Commemorating 40 years since the clubs original sponsored walk to Croke Park

On the 23rd of August 1981 our club committee had the foresight to organised a sponsored walk from Ederney to Croke Park to raise funds to buy our existing grounds.

Forty years later we have state of the art facilities with 2 pitches, 4 changing rooms, a community hall, gym and 1km of walks. Our facilities enable us to give so much back to our community and provide such a sense of local pride in our club, village and surrounding area.

To get our facilities completed particularly our car park we need to raise around £35k

Walk with Us

We hope to have over 200 walkers taking part in the event, all walking in groups for 40 miles over 40 days commencing on Thursday the 15th of July culminating with the final mile to be walked in our club grounds on Tuesday the 23rd of August where we will have a celebratory evening. This will be exactly 40 Years to the date of the original walk.

We shall be organising weekly walking times on our club grounds with family and friends but feel free to complete your 40 miles anywhere
